Homage watches are usually direct copies of famous or expensive watches without being an exact clone as they do not carry the original makers name or logo.
Some are poorly finished and use cheap quartz movements, while others use better quality materials.
Unlike a counterfeit watch, these watches are not meant to deceive people into buying what they may perceive as 'the bargain of a lifetime', if it seems too good to be true, then it probably is, Caveat Emptor, buyer beware!
It is down to the individual to do their own research to determine if a particular watch represents good value or not.
Made in China
A lot of people associate anything 'Made in China' to be of cheap inferior quality, however, all things are not equal, some of the latest watches to come out of China are made with higher quality materials and use Japanese movements so represent good value for money.
After all, even some Swiss watch company's outsource the manufacture of watch components like cases, dials Etc. to Chinese factories.
Most fashion watches and well known watch company's such as Sekonda, Limit, accurist and even Timex have production facilities in China, this is mostly due to the lower cost of production.
Pagani
Pagani Design is a Chinese watch company who primarily sells through Ali-express online store.
They produce 'Homage' watches, almost exact copies of famous watch brands but can't be considered 'counterfeit' as they always put there own logo on the face.
Both of these watches use the seiko NH35 Automatic movement

Conclusion
I have bought these watches because i like the designs, but can't justify the cost of getting the genuine watch, and i don't intend to get into financial difficulties for the sake of my hobby.
If you dis-regard that they are a reproduction, then they represent good value for the money as the finish and specification is as good if not better than anything in the same price range.
So, if you can't afford the real deal, then as long as you can live with the fact that they are a rip-off of the genuine watch, then i don't see a problem, after all, you know what you are buying and nobody else cares...
